We have a vibrant group of about 250 under-age players starting at Under 8 up to Under 16 in both boys and girls.
Starting date for Junior hockey for Season 2011-2012 is the weekend of 16th and 17th September 2011.

We are lucky to have a great team of coaches and managers without whom we would not have such an active and enthusiastic colt section.
A lot of our coaches and managers are parents who give their time freely. We also have coaches from our senior sections who act as excellent role models for our junior section and help them appreciate the feeling of being a Corinthian Hockey Player. A lot of our coaches would have come up through our junior section, some of them starting off as transition year students helping us and have stayed on.
We are in the process of all coaches and managers being updated in code of ethics etc

SUNDAYS
Matches are played by all teams, younger ones usually play in the early morning. There is a great deal of flexibility around these times on Sundays as a lot of teams play tournaments and we play home and away.
We are very fortunate in CHC to have protected training sessions as a lot of clubs have to use their training times as their match time.
We use the classes children are in as a guide to placing them in groups. Children play sport for lots of different reasons, probably the most important one is to make friends and be with their friends. At times a child (up to under 12s) may request to be in a group that they are either too old or young for. We take all things into consideration when deciding which group children should be in.

All existing members are guaranteed a place as long as they have completed a form and returned it to Maria before or on the commencement date of 2011-2012 season. If you are interested in joining us please fill in the form and send it to the address on the form. This does not guarantee you a place but we will do our utmost to facilitate you. We have to curtail numbers for the health and safety of your children.
CODE OF CONDUCT

To date we have been very fortunate that we have not had an issue with regard to codes of conduct for either our children or parents. However in keeping with good practice in sport, at the end of the 2009-2010 season we handed out an information pack which outlined our code of conduct. We asked parents and children to sign a form stating that they accepted the code of conduct.
FEES
Up to age 15 yrs 125 euro per child
Over 15 years but still in secondary school 150 euro
Maximum family price 300 euros
