Life Members Day - Saturday 4th February 2012....
Hi all,
Life Members Day will be held this year on the 4th of February. Hot ports and Canapés will be served in the club house between 1pm and 4pm.
The first Saturday of the month is also being held on the 4th in the Dropping Well so pop down afterwards from 8pm onwards.
I will email in advance with the times of fixtures, however it promises to be a jam packed day of hockey in Whitchurch Park, with the Men's 1's playing a vitally important match against Pembroke while the Ladies 1sts take on Hermes. Check out the list of fixtures below.

First Saturday of the Month - Saturday 3rd December 2011....
The theme will be Christmas and prizes will go to best dressed. There will be a sit down dinner which will begin at 9pm. The menu is below so check it out!!
DJ and Dancing after the dinner so bring your dancing shoes...
Dinner is an economic 25 euro for 2 courses and teas and coffees afterwards. If you could let your captain know if you will be attending we would greatly appreciate it. Please try and make it out for the night, regardless of the fact that the Christmas Party is always one of the best socials of the year, The Dropping Well is a very valued sponsor and it would be great to show them that CHC can bring numbers out in style.

First Social of the Year - Saturday 1st October 2011.....
Who is CHC's fairer sex? Come along to the Well for 8pm on Saturday 1st of October to find out.
10 rounds of games with CHC ladies facing off against CHC mens in a fight to the death....or at least until 1am when the Well closes! Points will be awarded for each win and calculated at the end of the night with the winner being crowned CHC fairer sex. Pride, honour, bragging rights and general smugness are at stake here...
Entry fee is 5 euro.....So come out and support your sex!!

A message from the CHC Minister for Fun
Hi all,
If I haven’t met you before now, my name is Sarah Murtagh and I am the Social Secretary and "Minister for Fun" for the coming season. This year promises to be exciting season and my job is to make sure that we play as hard off the pitch as we do on it.
CHC socials will kick off this year in September and run every first Saturday of each month up until April, with the CHC Dinner Dance held in May. My aim is to involve as many people as possible in the social side of the club this year so if you feel like getting involved, please do not hesitate to contact me! All support is very much welcome. If you are more a thinker then a doer, any ideas you may have for future socials would be fab as well.
This year a social schedule will be posted on the website in late August, detailing all future socials. I will do my best to keep to this schedule and ensure that socials run without fail on the first Saturday of every month. If there are any changes to this schedule, I endeavour to notify you at least 3 weeks in advance so arrangements can be made.
The facebook page will also be updated regularly as well as our new twitter page so keep an eye out. Links to both of these are below.
A person on each team will be nominated as the team socialite and that person will be my point of contact with you all. If you would like to take over this role, give me a shout. All in all you will have no excuse for not making every event.
Again feedback is very welcome and I would love to hear from anyone who would like to contribute!!
