The Mens 3rd team produced another great performance and put away a dogged Dublin North team at the National Sports Center.
The reds scored first through Darragh Butler who scored a rebound from Neil Townsend shot from the first short corner, the opposition score soon after but Corinthians scored again when Darragh turned provider for the other Dara (Dara Crowe) to slot a ball into the far corner of the goal from the top of the circle. After half time Dublin North came out at full speed and except for a man of the match performance from Dave Harkin in goals the reds would have fallen behind, instead it was just a single goal to peg them back to all square. A timely interception from Tom McNulty on the sideline allowed a great attack down the wing which lead to another short corner and a great switch to Dave McFeely led to a penalty struck which he converted himself with great aplomb (reminding him of his youth in the first team... centuries ago). The reds finished out the game without goal from Darragh Butler who took the umpires advise to play on after a foul to score a cracker of a goal to finish the game off at 4-2. The younger brigade of Conall Dullaghan, Dan Markey and Alex O'Connor are giving a great freshness to the team and improve each week as the 3rds season progresses in superb form.
