Timing just off -late arrivals

Macker saves the day
A miscommunication meant the game started 30 minutes after it was due to start. With the team still arriving when the whistle blew, it ended up being a tight affair. Naas took the lead midway through the half and imposed themselves on the reds. With some players bickering it looked like being a bad day at the office, however fortunes changed and the reds came right back in it and mid way through the 2nd half it was 2 - 2 after goals by Conor Miles
and Guy Banton
. Suddenly thoughts of promotion came back into play, and another cracker by Geezer (his 4th on the day after guessing for the 4ths) meant the Reds were 2nd in the league. Luckily Davy McFeely
was thinking of the long game and took one for the team by needlessly arguing with the umpire and getting a green card, but this wasn't enough - as Matt Ralph had tried that and the team survived, so Macker upped his game and got it upgraded to a yellow and his 10 minutes on the naughty step did the trick as the reds conceded 2 goals before the end and lose 4 - 3 .. Thanks Macker for thinking of the club first. On to Tuesday to play Kilkenny in a refix, 8pm at home, with no fear of promotion, so can play with all 11 on the pitch for a change...bad boys take note.
