The 2nd match in the weekend eventually took its toll, as a very solid Glennane team beat CHC Men's 3rd team by the narrowest of margins. Extra resources were added on the day in the shape of Ado, Neal and Alex, but it wasn't enough to break down a stubborn Glens team who go onto the final next month. There were few clear goal chances, with only 2 short corners for each team in the whole game - Glens scored from their 1st short corner after the initial save. Mid-way through the 2nd half they were awarded a penalty stroke which they duly put away for a 2-0 lead, but CHC did not give up (Ben Ralph getting sin-binned for his efforts - taking over from Tim as the bad boy of the team), by getting a short corner at the end and Adrian Missen scoring - from what must have been a well rehearsed move. The league continues next week, and since all teams are dropping points to each other, the 3rds are back into 2nd place on goal difference - so there is hope yet for the season, as no-one else seems to want to win this division. Our cup doesn't runneth over.
