On the Edge?

Almost a Shakespearean quote …’the edge or not the edge (of the circle), that is the question’. Its not always existential, sometimes it is practical.
Even Hamlet struggled with that one ..but goalkeepers often struggle with the slings and arrows of outrageous fortunes on a week to week basis, this week was no different. Luckily it wasn't a tragedy, but the changing of tactics was a bit comedic.
The question about whether the ball was inside or outside the circle when the shot as taken did not matter in the end when a WONDER goal at the other end from Oscar brought the game to a fairer result of 2-2.
Earlier the Reds had taken the lead when again there was a 100% success rate from the short corner team, when the original shot was saved and Ewan put the rebound away.
Then Pembroke came back into it, and after the Left Back (who shall remain nameless) dived into to a tackle too quickly, it left the opposition with just a tap-in. Then the controversial goal put them ahead, so we had to dig deep.
It was good to see Henry Ellis start on his comeback in this game - he also brought the average age of the backs by about half.
Its been a good start to the season …new players blooded and two wins and two draws ..onwards and upwards.
