3rds new director of hockey beginning to take power too seriously

The pressure was on from before the start as the 2nds had a fine win, so we had to perform.
Tactics as always were surprising and with Macker on the side (doing his best impression of Dr. Strangelove, all he needs is a wheelchair, which he needs most weeks, that or his electric scooter) - luckily he didn't do the Dog on the formation and other than a Q3 change for Oscar to go as an out and out forward, which did put them under pressure, tactics remained the same all day. And it worked - 2022 is starting well.
Gordy was back and like the Postman the week before, he delivered --with an exceptional head high save on the line (drag flicks becoming surprisingly common in this division).
Moose again covered the keeping duties and performed admirably again. (but the defenders always make him look good, even if we don't always do as he tells us)
With Ryan covering at sweeper the first goal came from an overhead from his own 23 that deceived the KK defense and Micah sneaked in and put the ball through a host of defenders to put us 1-0 ahead.
It didn't last long and by half time it was 1-1 (we might as well blame Frank... he wasn't there, so we can say he missed the vital tackle!)
The basics at times let us down and some good opportunities did not come to anything.
A few chances fell to Jacob and Jack, but out of nowhere Sam came to the rescue and picking up an intercept on the KK 23 he beat several players and coolly slotted home in the bottom corner from the top of the circle (an actual rocket this time).
It was a tight nervy game for the remaining 10 mins but with younger players like Oran and Caleb holding the flanks, it was a deserved if tight win.
