It started on Thursday night at training - The great tinkerer suggested a Christmas tree formation (we won't mention what position Sean C got!).
This was quickly discounted, when the young beat the old - so for Sat a 4-3-3 (or 4-4-2. depends who was asked) formation was settled on.
And it worked, Ben up front got in the thick of it and grabbed a hattrick - he heeded last weeks advice, when he only got 2. Even pinging one against the post didn't put him off. Luke at the other end was also steady all game.
For a change - no cards and despite going one down this bottom of the table clash was never in doubt and 3-1 reflected the play.
In defense Moose showed up no worse for wear (but could actually tell?) - the late Mr T... proved nominatively determinant but missed no tackles, Tom controlled and Dylan proved his versatility by moving forward as the game went on.
Jacob did take a heavy knock, but luckily there was a packed bench, so there was cover.
The travelling Das did not have as far to come this week and the result must have been more satisfying than recent games, and hopefully a trend will be set next week with the possibility of 3 in a row (getting giddy now!).
