A bonkers game to keep the unbeaten run going

Firstly it was good to see Ciaran O Shea and Gordy Clarke involved... as umpire (surprisingly honest and mobile) and a new travelling da.
Secondly, a disclaimer, i did score 2 x OGs, a new first, and I won't describe them, suffice it to say the keeper said it all 'would you go up the other end and complete the hat-trick away from me'.

The master magician pulled off a great trick by getting 12 players to Kilcock, including 3 who had to double up (its not actually easy to get the bare 11, when you often start with 20) .. fair play to Neil for getting them there on time from Railway ...just!
Then we went back to the 1930s, and the magician turned tactician and played 4-5-1, with inside rights and outside lefts, all we needed were the wing backs. And he thought it was a new idea (or Stapo's, which should have given us a clue) - but it reversed the results of our last few trips there... so back to the future it is.

But it worked, well for the first half and just enough in 2nd half to hang on. Two debutante on the day and both had great starts, Ethan comfortably slotting into right back and Gianluca getting the winner.

Simon got his mojo back by scoring two (including an innovative pass from Macker off the post), Jacob also scored again, leading scorer territory, but Ben isn't jealous, he created all the space for others to score this time. Is it believable that Tim scored?

Tim revelled in Midfield picking up the loose passes and some great crosses (less evidence this time of a 5 iron). With Gordy and Dylan covering in a line behind... it actually worked for a while.
The scoring was 1-0 up, 1-1 a minute later, 2-1 up, 2-2 a few minutes later, then 2 goals to go 4-2 up by half time. But they started to figure out the tactics and pressed hard, getting back to 4-4, but we didn't panic and scored again with 5 mins to go and held on for another rather unexpected victory on the road. (umpire played advantage, which we took and made up for the unexpected bout of honesty earlier).
The tactical debrief in a quite yellow house yielded no new insights .... but why change a winning formula.

Some players ending up with 3 matches at the weekend - true club players, but this was definitely the highlight. (even completed the weekend hat-trick on Sunday - I may have stolen it from Victor, as he hadn't hit it with enough conviction - didn't quite undo the previous OGs, but it is a start).
