The run continues (backwards)

There's not a lot that can be said for matches towards the end of the season that no longer mean as much.
Players are no longer first to the ball and hide a little a times.
Exceptions of course do stand out a little more - Neil particularly showed well in defense and also in attack from right back as he supplied the pass for Ben's goal (from the opponents end line, no less). Also putting some fight into it was Jacob who fought hard to get himself ahead of the opposition. The rest were rather softish, second to everything as someone said - not enough bite and bullock (Ed. thank goodness for auto-correct).

The rain had just stopped when we started (warm-ups were in the car with the heating full on!) and we started well enough, on top in the first half with most of the chances, but just not sharp in front of goal. In the 2nd quarter however the game changed and the two chances that were created by TRR were converted, one with a cruel deflection. Then it was extremely sunny (it is Ireland), and we got back into with a goal at the back post from Ben, who has turned into the leading scorer this season for the team.

In the 4th quarter it was all to play for but the sharpness wasn't quite there and when pushing forward to try get something out of the game, we conceded another at the death.

Down the M7 next week for the last game against Naas, hopefully some bite will have come back in to finish with a flourish.
