An understrength Corinthian team lost 4-0 to Muckross in a game that was tighter than the scoreline suggested.
CHC actually had more of the short corners and circle entries, but hats off to Muckross, they were ruthless in attack and took some lovely goals on the day.
Corinthian had three u16 girls in the matchday squad, Nicola Torrans, Isabelle Maleady and Hannah McGrane. All three earned some very valuable minutes at Div 1 level as CHC look to bring through the fantastic young talent in the club.
CHC were missing four defensive players for the tie in Hannah McKay, Lynne Pomeroy, Leanne Kelly and Sarah Coleman. It was a brave effort from the new blood and the entire team are already looking forward to meeting Muckross in the league this March.
The loss puts CHC into the Jacqui Potter Shield, a cup they earned the silver medal in last season.
