Corinthian L1s put a big result on Our Lady's yesterday on what was the last match of the regular season.

It was a point they felt they had to prove after a very disappointing 3-3 draw earlier in the season and a valuable lesson learned in what can be achieved when all matches are taken very seriously.

The first half started very quickly, with CHC scoring just 90 seconds into the game. It slowed down quite a bit after that though and without Alanah Quinsey the first half would have been a snooze fest! She was on fire and scored two brilliant solo goals in the half, both were the reult of long runs into the D with great shots to score. The half finished 3-0.

There was much clearer intent from CHC in the second half and they really began to dominate, going to 5-0 with seven minutes to go.
Our Lady's looked dead on their feet and CHC turned it up a notch scoring 3 more goals on route to the 8-0 final score - a very impressive finish from CHC.

On the day Alanah Quinsey scored a hat-trick, Lynne Pomeroy and Lauren McGrane with a brace each and Caoimhe Proud-Murphy also on the score sheet.

It ends a good campaign for the girls, finishing on 43 points and scoring 52 goals - 19 points clear of the chasing pack for play-off places.
Also, it compares very favourably to last season's tally of 23 points and 25 goals.

Preparation begins now for the EYHL play-offs on 14th and 15th April.
