Corinthian L1s secured a cup semi final in a slightly more dramatic fashion then they would have liked.
5-4 certainly indicates an end to end encounter on paper, but the reality was, Our Lady's continued their voodoo against CHCs back line, scoring goals with almost 50% of their circle entries. 9 second half circle entries for Our Lady's resulted in 4 goals.
A very low sun was in the eyes of CHC defenders for most of the second half, which did make what would be normal defending a lot more difficult. They leave with some work to do defensively.
On the flip side of that, the game never really felt out of reach for CHC. They dominated the full game and attacked with precision, probably their best to date this season. They held a 4-1 lead at one stage, and then a 5-2 lead, only to conceded 2 more goals before the end of the game.
Some notable performances from Amber Kinlan, Sophie Maleady and Leanne Kelly.
Overall the team are delighted to finally put in a few goal, after a dominant start to 2018 resulted in less goals then they should have scored.
Onwards and upwards now, all focus switches to Clontarf in the league this Saturday where 3 points is essential to keep in the title hunt
