Corinthian Ladies 1st team won their first ever title in TRR yesterday.
Conditions were really icy with the wind chill making it feel sub zero out there, but that didn't stop the CHC fans coming to show their support in a day where the Men's 1st team were also playing a cup final.
The game never really got a great flow to it, the freezing weather certainly played it's part in that.
CHC went 3-0 up from two penalty corner goals by Lauren & Jessica McGrane and another from Nicola Torrans, which was a tap in after a sublime team move - the best move of the day.
At 3-0 Alex kept fighting and got their just rewards with 2 goals to give an edge to the final moments of the game, but truth being told, CHC didn't look like they would be caught.
The title marks the first in the clubs history, and a first for Carol McGowan after 18 years playing senior 1s.
