Ladies 1’s grind out a win against Clontarf.

CHC Ladies 1’s maintained their unbeaten record in Div 1 with a narrow 1-0 win over Clontarf in Whitechurch Park on Saturday afternoon. 

Despite constant pressure & numerous opportunities both from open play & penalty corners, CHC were unable to breakdown a resolute Clontarf defence leaving the score 0-0 at half time. 

Q3 continued in the same vein. The supporters were momentarily buoyed when they believed that Lauren McGrane has scored after a great intercept. Unfortunately it was narrowly wide, hitting the side rather than the backboard! Score still 0-0 at end of Q3!

CHC continued to pile on the pressure in Q4. Their efforts were finally rewarded when another penalty corner, which went slightly awry was deflected in by Sara Quill off a reverse shot by Jessica McGrane in the 66th min. 
The result was just reward for the CHC dominance & many circle entries throughout the match.However they will need to up their game considerably on Saturday when they face Lurgan in an away game in the next round of the EYHL2.
