Ladies 3s put 9 past Rathgar

The 3’s ladies had a very enjoyable outing to Rathgar on Saturday afternoon, which ended in a 9-0 result against their opponents - Rathgar’s 3’s.

What is normally a feisty affair saw the girls start in an emphatic fashion with 2 goals within in the first 10 minutes, which ensured a hold on the game from the very outset. 
They were in cruise control for the second quarter, but kicked it up a gear in the third quarter again, scoring both field and penalty corner goals that would make any hockey lover weak at the knees. 
With 15 minutes to go, the game was wrapped up with the addition of three more goals from outstanding pressing and counter attacking. 
The girls were ruthless in their endeavor to prove a point in the most anticipated fixture of the season. Confidence was oozing by the final whistle which saw the Ladies 3s trotting home with a skip in their step.
