The U14 boys suffered their first competitive loss of the season today in the U14 Cup semifinal against a very strong Monkstown A team. The Cup is played for by all U14 teams and Monkstown A are currently second in the A league so while the boys are out of the Cup they played a very competitive game, weren’t in the slightest bit outclassed, and shouldn’t be too disappointed. Some fantastic saves from Jude O Dwyer who along with the rest of the defense was kept very busy. We missed Marco today (out of action with a broken arm) and were lucky Luke Caldwell’s knee injury sustained in the last few minutes is only minor.
The U14s are currently top of the U14B league with 2 more games to play, South East Lions and Portrane.
Onwards and upwards.....
