CUP WINNERS!!!
We would like to congratulate our Mens 3rds and Mens 4ths on their recent cup wins. The Mens 3rds had a stunning (nerve-wrecking!!) win versus Three Rock Rovers on Saturday 13th April when they won 5-4 on strokes after a 2-2 draw after extra time. Congratulations to Paul Stapleton, Davy McFeeley and all the team.
Our Mens 4ths won their cup versus Wicklow on Saturday April 20th. They came from an amazing 2-0 down to win 4-2. The young guns were on form with David Howard and Darragh Butler on the scoresheet before Tony Long scored a cracking 4th goal (still got it!!) Congratulations to Paul Blake-Knox, John McNulty, Tony Long & all the team. We've been waiting for this cup for a long time!

HockeyConnect Club fundraising website - NOW LIVE
Hi All – during the last few weeks you will have seen, we hope, a link to a hockey fundraising initiative called HockeyConnect. It is run by Ronan Pelow of Corinthians and Douglas Grey, ex-everything to do with Irish Hockey!
The premise of the initiative is to raise funds directly for Hockey Clubs (not the IHA) and to support the growth of our sport in more far-flung or disadvantaged areas in Ireland. It is very much in its infancy but there are already good vibes judging by the comments on the site!
The basic plan is that individuals can sign up for €10pa, or businesses for €150pa, which allows access to a network of hockey supporting The basic plan is that individuals can sign up for €10pa, or businesses
for €150pa, which allows access to a network of hockey supporting persons and
businesses who can provide help, services or advice, generally at discounted
rates, to other members.
The fundraising element is that your Club (which you indicate at sign up time) has each members’ (individual or business) payment allocated against it and the Club receives 65% of that total back in the playing season (i.e.
if 100 CHC Members sign up at €10 each, CHC will receive €650 of that back within a season). 15% also goes to a club hockey development fund which clubs apply for to support development projects that “fit” with branch plans.
I would urge you to at least have a look at the HockeyConnect website to see what it is all about – it is quite clear and detailed – and consider signing up (I have done so, in case you ask!).
You can sign up your business now to benefit from belonging to the hockey community in Ireland for a very small outlay which will benefit your club and your business.
Please forward the attached to all your hockey friends/contacts/relatives and encourage them to sign up to – remember this initiative will raise significant funds for Clubs in Ireland – your club.
Early sign up gives 16 month membership – so no renewal until April 2014. That’s great value too.
A personalised membership card will be issued to all individual members
Let’s get this initiative moving – it’s the business – your business.

Corinthians Welcomes New Players
Corinthian HC is a mixed club catering for all levels of hockey players, from Under 8 boys and girls, up through the age groups to adult teams and on to veterans. Our mens section fields 5 teams every week with our first 3 teams competing in the top 3 divisions. We also field 5 ladies teams ranging from Division 1 to Division 11. We pride ourselves on being a family-based club and it is not unusual to find 2 or more family members playing on the same team, sometimes even fathers and sons or mothers and daughters! Our junior hockey programme is the envy of many clubs in Leinster hockey, with more than 250 youngsters every week receiving the highest standard of coaching possible. Our junior coaches include current and former Irish national team members and international players.
CHC is renowned as a welcoming club. Down through the years we have forged great relationships with many other clubs the length and breadth of Ireland, and of course we have been enriched by the many foreign players who have made CHC their home-from-home, some for a short while, others more permanently. So if you are planning on spending time in Dublin and want to play hockey, by all means get in touch, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Whitechurch Park, the home of the Reds, is set in the beautiful grounds of St Columbas College and consists of 2 synthetic astro-turf pitches and a club house with modern changing facilities set back above the main pitch offering excellent viewing for spectators. Hover over the Club Info Page above for our location and directions.
We look forward to welcoming you.
