Rollercoaster ride ends well

In the first game of a double weekend, the 3rds beat TRR in a game that pulsated over and back. First to score was Dara Crowe with an overhead smash from a raised ball, rumours spread by the opposition goalie that it was knee high..totally untrue. Guy Banton continued his scoring streak with another team goal. TRR came back into it with 2 of their own - with some luck and fortune, that spread a little panic but Davy McFeely scored at the back post to restore the lead. This didn't last long and it was back to 3-3 with 10 mins to go. Then came Tim King....... the new bold boy of the team, already with 2 periods in the sin bin during the game (he was innocent! So he claims - the evidence may say otherwise) ... scored the best goal of the game to finish proceedings with the narrowest of victories. Next up on Sunday is the cup semi-final, hopefully the legs aren't too tired, and the players have a quiet night - save it for next week at Churchtown Stores pub for the monthly night out.
