Captain Jude and the Bold Oldies

Jude was captain for the day and was in inspired form in goals, keeping the team in the game throughout, but unable to stop a well-executed YM goal.
Our attack was unable to break down the opposition defense again, so the fish are still safe in their barrel .. bigger guns next time - but only as long as they arrive on time and not pretending to be windmills with the wind up for shots!
The Golden Oldies were a little bold on the day (although possibly justified), starting with Gordy who managed to avoid a card after it had been shown (but it is unusual to be carded after being obstructed), later Moose and myself were given a green each for questioning decisions (we got a different corner each to stand on the naughty step). Both decisions were eventually reversed, but it didn’t make a difference (even Stevie Wonder with a blindfold would statistically be expected to get 50% of the decisions right on any one day) - lesson learnt (Moose is the bad influence ?).
