Road trip continues - almost got to Navan

The road to Navan luckily stopped at the airport ALSAA and we re-acquainted ourselves with the bumpy pitch.

It was a contrast of styles, with the hard playing direct style of the provincial team against the finesse of the Reds, careful coaching and varying tactics (no comment on the left back being moved on, as his zimmer frame could not keep up with the speedy winger ..Dylan did cope better - how Tony saw this change was necessary is beyond me!).

Navan did score first, but Simon scored a great reverse shot to level it up by half time.

Navan scored again to put it up to the reds, who had backed off a little by this stage.

With the overhead planes adding a little more excitement than normal, it was up to Sam to score a rocket (maybe a little exaggerated ...but when did these reports ever get close to reality)

A draw was a fair result in the end and the 3rds stand in mid table going into the 2nd half of the season.
