A late report... busy week.
The game was decided by a single goal and the reds came up just short (and that's not my height being discussed).
After a stop-start beginning to the season there was little fluency in the 1st quarter and NK took advantage after hitting the post twice and then picking off a defender (who shall remain nameless) left the ball behind in the circle after dribbling (which is how we all were later on Saturday night), this left the keeper with no chance. Another disallowed goal meant there was only one in it after the first quarter (Gordy's argument to the umpire actually had merit - who knew).
The remainder of the game was much better for the 3rds but did not lead to any goals (the red faces at the end on the likes of Alistair showed the effort that was put in by those who doubled up was wholehearted). Glenn helped in midfield, while easing back to fitness. With more continuity in match schedule the goals will surely come. Chances are being created - execution is a little lacking so far.
