Match Report
A rabble of bodies gathered at Whitechurch. Some hadn't played for a while and some were coming straight from school. The varying age range CH doC 4s were back on the piste. The players introduced themselves on the pitch old School style. Sergeant Major Rath took them through the warm up. It was going to be a long day. Manager Macker set up the formation which was like unlocking the De Vinci Code. But eventually there was buy in. Basically the Big Daddies of the Pontypool back four at the back with a combined age of the daily new Covid cases. Hugh St Legend renewing his Connaught Junior/ Masters partnership with an oul mongrel. Dara and Harks (celebrating his new Greenway in Salthill) the screen with the Columbas and Old Wesley socked youth and legs in midfield. Oh and some oul Geyser with a sore knee up front.
When the oppo captain asked to borrow a box for an outfield player to play in goal you feel ye have a sniff and it proved right.
Geyser set up Dylan for a lovely opener and then scored himself to have the reds 2 up after the first quarter. It was 5 up at half time.
Basically the team talk was Keep her lit.
An oul sneaky snook in but the diaper was dirtied in the third quarter as it was 7-1 at it's close
Caleb got 2 and impressed as the young guns had plenty of energy.
Some oul codger up front got 4. Sore knee what sore knee?
In the end the reds had scored a goal for every player on their team and blotted their copy book once.
They travel outside the pale next week to Gar who will sort out the men from the boys.
And they all lived happily every after......
