The Jelly Babies are on me Baby

During the week it was suggested I would buy the team jelly babies if the team won. Guess what it worked like taking sweets from a baby.
The skipper arrived late to the National Sports centre but better late than never.
The team was joined by Frank Fennell who wasn't motivated by jelly babies.
He couldn't play for thirds as he was going to a party to celebrate the release of restrictions.
We dediced to have a hybrid of the old formation and the orthodox formation.ie 442.
Commander "This is Hell" Wrath was back to warm up the troops who found muscles they didn't know they had.
We had a great start with a flowing move Billy O'Riordan was through one on one with the keeper. Unselfishly Billy cool under pressure squared it across and Frank Fennell finished into an open goal. Frank Fennell made a big difference in mid field being a great link for spreading the ball left and right. The passing was much better today with three or more passes being strung together. Shortly later Frank added a short corner to put us 2 up.
The young guns were rolled on for the 2nd quarter with Jacob (not Jake) Minehane slotting in at right back. Another short corner followed just before half time with Geyser slipping out a sneaky short corner to man's best friend. Unfortunately the stupid mutt topped the ball (should be put down) and it came back off the keeper. But he cocked the leg again and hit a powder puff shot that hit the inside of the keepers foot through his legs deflected off a defender and barely reached the back board. 3 up at half time.
With a squad of 14 the changes were rung again to keep everyone warm and involved. Keep her lit. Dublin North got a goal back controversially in the third quarter when Justin van der Spuy was bundled off the ball (free out all day). The D North forward put one around the boards and their umpire gave it. It was a pity because the reds welcomed "Cool Hand" Luke Stevens today who deserved a clean diaper after making three good saves and because he was from my old Alma Mater. I told him I will have left it 40 years next year.
Roll on the fourth quarter and it was the Ed Bourke and Brendan O'Sullivan show. Ed stopped the push out and Brendan showed the skipper how to hit a corner rattling the back board 4-1. Geyser went off and another ould Geyser who recently celebrated his 60th birthday added snarl up front the bould Victor O 'Shea. Anything you can do I can do better he said to his son and bulged the onion bag from an acute angle to make it 5-1. Guy Banton is sweating over the next selection meeting We had our first away win of the season and the rot had been stopped.
A disciplinary meeting was held after the game Chaired by the Club Captain who got Sutts out of a hole and umpired thanks Macker. Sutts you owe Macker €40. The Commatee consisting of Pat Boylan Victor O'Shea Hugh St Leger and Yours truly found Frank Fennell guilty of a gross code violation for not playing for the thirds today. His punishment is that he is dropped from the thirds and has to play for the fourths for the rest of the season.
At the end of the game the wild westerners had a get together.
Next game the Trinners students way again on Donore side. Hope it doesn't clash with the Welsh Rugby Match.
And they all lived happily ever after!
