Corinthian U14 Boys staged a near miraculous comeback in a fantastic match to draw with YMCA in Wesley College today. The first half was well played by both teams but by half time Corinthians were 2-0 down, a scoreline that doesn't really reflect the skilled play from the team, luck was on YMCA's side. After some wise words from coach Neil Mackay, which obviously worked wonders, Corinthians turned the match around in spectacular fashion with goals from Micah Switzer, Simon Comerford, and Conor Walsh, some excellent goalkeeping by Jude O Dwyer, and a much more robust defence. The final score of 3-3 was a good result, however, a few more minutes and the game was surely ours!
Our thanks to YMCA for a great match.
