Our last match of the season got off to a shaky start. With a lot of different activities going on (school musicals etc) a few players were delayed including our goalkeeper Alan O'Donnell. We played the first few minutes with no 'keeper and did well to keep score to 0-1. When the troops arrived we got straight back into the game with an excellent finish from Craig Mackay. Unfortunately we conceded again and went into the break 2-1 down.
We fancied our chances in the 2nd half but after missing a good chance of our own TRR swept the length of the pitch to go 3-1 up. That seemed to take the wind out our sails and we soon found ourselves 6-1 down before scoring a deserved second just on the final whistle.
The boys did very well and kept going throughout and we played the game with a formation looking forward to next season.
Thank you to Dan, Conall, Alan, Jake and Craig who will be leaving the junior ranks. Good luck in the senior club! Thanks also to all the parents, guardians etc for all the support during the season.
On a final note, it has to be said that the U14's that have played this year will be in a good place for next season and I look forward to success in 2019/20!
